PFBR v.7 - © Nov/1991 - V. Keith Warden
Type 1 PostScript Font Renaming Utility
Usage: PFBR DirectoryName
Renames ALL Type1 Postscript Fonts in a Given Directory
to Their True Postscript Name (/FontName xxx def)
PFBR is a Postscript Utility used to Rename Type1 Postscript Fonts to their
true Postscript Name. In every Type1 Font there is a FontName define. Written
in the form:
/FontName /Times-Roman def
PFBR incorporates various sanity checks to make sure the font is a Type1.
So it won't rename your favorite utilities, unless they look like a Type1 font
Some MAC fonts have a define (dict?) of /NewN. PFBR Looks for this and tells
you to rename the font manually. I may hack this to work in a later version.
Conceived and Written because I got tired of renaming them by hand.
PFBR is Copyright by me, but freely distributable. Commercial distribution
prohibited without my written permission. Fred Fish, of course. Way to go Fred!
Bugs: None Known
I have tested PFBR thoroughly, but use PFBR at your own risk!
